When Teyani approached me to create a portrait reflecting her Catawba culture, the visual language had to carry the weight of her history. From her ancestral jewelry to the raw riverbank clay covering her skin, every element became an intentional step toward turning a portrait into a living monument.

What happens when you step away from the clock and dive into pure, unhurried experimentation? This collection featuring Emma Grace explores the rare gift of a three-hour studio block—where long exposures, in-camera double exposures over outdoor ice, and ethereal oil-filter nude figure studies transform fluid human movement into textured, kinetic paintings.

For me, fine art nude photography is a pure exploration of form, texture, and light. By removing wardrobe and distractions, this session with Sara exists within a grayscale palette completely timeless and void of the distractions of color—captured using a deliberate mix of small format digital, medium format digital, and 8x10 large format film.

Be proud that you took the long fork in the road as few things quick and  easy prove to be important or permanent. Short cuts can be a cancer in your artistic snow globe. Take the path less worn and keep shaking it up.
