An Appalachian Documentary Archive

Having grown up in the foothills of the Appalachians in Southern Ohio, these Western North Carolina mountains echo my home in so many ways. Outside of the fact that the mountains are taller, and the seasons are different, it feels much like home. This archive is my visceral exploration of that familiarity—a study of community, conviction, and commonalities. Moving between traditional documentary landscapes and raw portraiture, I am looking for the marrow of this place and its people that connect with my own roots.
